1. Introduction

Joyn Healthcare ("Joyn," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Sizzle Creative Agency LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Joyn Healthcare platform, including our website at joynhealthcare.com, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Platform.


2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password, zip code, and optionally your full address.

Household Information: If you add family members to your account, we collect their names, dates of birth, and relationship to you.

Payment Information: When you add a payment method or fund your Health Wallet, your payment details (credit card, debit card, or bank account information) are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. Joyn does not store your full payment card numbers on our servers.

Booking Information: When you book a service, we collect information about the booking, including the Provider selected, service type, appointment date and time, and payment amount.

Review Content: If you submit a review, we collect the star rating, written text, and tags you provide.

Communications: If you contact us via email or support, we collect the content of your communications.

Provider Information: If you are a Provider, we collect your practice information, credentials, NPI number, licensure documentation, malpractice insurance documentation, service listings, pricing, bank account information (via Stripe), and photos.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages viewed, search queries, features used, links clicked, and time spent.

Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the Platform, including device type, operating system, browser type, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.

Location Information: We collect your zip code (provided during registration) and may collect approximate geolocation data based on your IP address to provide location-relevant search results. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit consent.

Log Data: Our servers automatically record information including your IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs.

Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and improve our services. See Section 8 for details.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect medical records, clinical notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, lab results, or any protected health information (PHI). Joyn is a marketplace platform that facilitates booking and payment. All clinical records are maintained by Providers in their own systems.

We do not collect health questionnaires, pre-existing condition information, health status, or medical history. We do not require any health-related information to create an account or become a member.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Platform: To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform, including processing bookings, facilitating payments, managing your Health Wallet, and displaying provider search results relevant to your location.
  • Account Management: To create and manage your account, process membership payments, and communicate with you about your account.
  • Payments: To process payments between Members and Providers, manage Health Wallet balances, and generate transaction records and receipts.
  • Communication: To send you transactional communications (booking confirmations, payment receipts, appointment reminders), service updates, and responses to your support inquiries.
  • Analytics and Improvement: To understand how users interact with the Platform, identify trends, measure the effectiveness of features, and improve the user experience.
  • Safety and Security: To detect and prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
  • Marketing (with consent): To send you promotional communications about Joyn services, new features, and relevant content. You may opt out at any time.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With Providers: When you book a service, we share your name, contact information, and booking details with the Provider so they can deliver the scheduled service.
  • With Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform, including Stripe (payment processing), Google (maps and geocoding), email delivery services, analytics providers, and hosting providers.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
  • Business Transfers: If Joyn is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Aggregated Data: We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

5. Health Wallet Data

Your Health Wallet transaction history (deposits, payments, withdrawals) is stored in our database. Wallet funds are custodied by Stripe, not by Joyn. We do not share your individual Wallet balance or transaction history with any third party except as required by law or as necessary for payment processing.


6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.3)
  • Encryption of data at rest (database-level encryption)
  • Access controls and role-based permissions
  • Regular security assessments
  • Payment card data handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant); Joyn never stores full card numbers

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.


7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform. If you close your account, we will retain your information for a reasonable period as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Booking history and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and regulatory compliance.

You may request deletion of your account and personal information by emailing privacy@joynhealthcare.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.


8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Essential Cookies: Required for the Platform to function (e.g., session management, authentication). Cannot be disabled.

Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Platform (e.g., page views, feature usage).

Preference Cookies: Remember your settings and preferences.

What We Do NOT Use: We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We do not serve ads on the Platform. We do not share your browsing data with advertising networks.


9. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and Correction: You may access and update your personal information at any time through your account settings.
  • Deletion: You may request deletion by emailing privacy@joynhealthcare.com.
  • Communication Preferences: You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. You cannot opt out of transactional communications while your account is active.
  • State-Specific Rights: If you are a resident of a state with specific privacy rights (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut), you may have additional rights. Contact privacy@joynhealthcare.com to exercise these rights.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Adult Members may add minor dependents to their household account; in such cases, the adult Member manages the minor's information and bookings.


11. HIPAA Notice

Joyn Healthcare is not a healthcare provider and does not create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA. Joyn stores booking data and payment data, which are transactional records, not clinical records. Clinical records are maintained solely by the Providers in their own systems.


12. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.


13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
